You should stay away from the smoke of fireworks

According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, allergy sufferers and asthma should be alert to the trigger for recurrence of symptoms. Fireworks that are often lit during New Year celebrations can be one of those triggers.

The smoke produced during combustion can be an irritant (a substance that, due to a chemical reaction, can cause damage or inflammation when it comes in contact with a damp body surface, such as skin, eyes and nose). This can cause respiratory irritation and trigger the appearance of symptoms of asthma and allergic reactions.

If your baby has allergies, you should stay away from the smoke of fireworks. If the distance is close, then try to stay where the wind brings smoke in the opposite direction. Another alternative is to use a N95 mask and always carry the commonly used breathless inhaler inhaler.
